NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JLL Partners, LLC (“JLL” or the “Firm”), a New York-based middle market private equity firm focused on investing in the healthcare, aerospace & defense, and business services sectors, today announced the promotion of Gerard Van Spaendonck to Head of Value Creation, and the additions of Raj Bhavsar as Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) and Tom Burke as Operating Partner. These strategic actions significantly bolster the Firm’s value creation team, emphasizing JLL’s commitment to driving operational improvements and leveraging technology to accelerate portfolio company growth.

Mr. Van Spaendonck will assume the role of Head of Value Creation and oversee the allocation and deployment of operational resources across JLL’s portfolio. He will continue to partner with deal teams, operating partners, management teams and other stakeholders to address evolving portfolio company needs to drive value at portfolio companies. Mr. Van Spaendonck joined JLL in 2014 as an Operating Partner, and prior to that held various leadership positions at market leading companies including Philips Healthcare. Mr. Van Spaendonck earned a B.B.A. from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and an Executive Master in Finance & Control from the University of Amsterdam.

Mr. Bhavsar joins JLL as CTO with over three decades of technology experience. As CTO at JLL, Mr. Bhavsar will oversee technology initiatives, guiding portfolio companies through critical digital transformations and innovations. Mr. Bhavsar brings significant experience working within the healthcare technology and private equity sectors, most recently serving as CTO at Accel KKR-backed healthcare services provider Sandata and before that as CTO of Relatient as well as the now Optum owned ConnectYourCare. Mr. Bhavsar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi.

Mr. Burke joins the Firm as an Operating Partner, bringing deep expertise in operational leadership and value enhancement from his previous roles as CEO of ABB Optical, Medical Specialties Distributors, and Novis Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he served in various senior leadership roles at Cardinal Health for 35 years. In this role, Mr. Burke will work closely with JLL management teams to improve operational efficiencies, integrate add-on acquisitions and execute growth strategies for Firm portfolio companies. Mr. Burke has over four decades of healthcare leadership experience across Fortune 500 and sponsor-backed companies and studied Business Administration from Salem State University.
